I’m going through a divorce.
How many times is that?
Not me, my stepdaughter.
She’ll be able to take it better than you could.
I’m having flashbacks: hurt, anger, bitterness.
It’s one of the three things that shorten your life.
Divorce is raising a white flag, admitting defeat.
More like a tactical retreat. What about the future ex?
He’s the poster child for deadbeat dads. Swears he’s broke, depressed,
and going to AA. He was a bullshitter from day one.
She has to cut her losses; life happens too fast.
Our granddaughter is the sweetest little girl. She’ll think growing up
in two households is normal.
It happens in the best of families. I think like 40% of first marriages end in divorce. Miserable spouses too often become miserable parents. Mine spent 40 years of marital piss yelling and blaming one another and us.
That’s why you haven’t remarried.
Nothing is worse than waking up next to someone you can’t stand
